Singapore Insurance Institute (SII) is a members’ institution for Professionals in Insurance and Financial Services. The SII is a non-profit organisation with the mission to promote Professionalism in Insurance and Financial Services.

*All existing members of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) are eligible for SII membership free of charge. Please indicate your CII membership no. when submitting your application form.

Associate – ASII

$75 per annum


Awarded to persons who are

  • Associates of the Chartered Insurance Institute, or
  • Associates of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, or
  • Associates of the Singapore Insurance Institute, and
  • Those holding other insurance qualifications deemed by the Council to be at least at an equivalent standard

Affiliate – AFF.SII

$75 per annum


Awarded to persons who

  • Possess such relevant insurance, financial services or professional qualifications approved by the Council, and
  • Have been continuously engaged in the insurance or financial services industry for at least five years.

Fellow – FSII

$100 per annum


Awarded to Persons who are

  • Fellows of the Chartered Insurance Institute, or
  • Fellows of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, or
  • Fellows of the Singapore Insurance Institute, and
  • Those holding other insurance qualifications deemed by the Council to be at least at an equivalent standard

Ordinary

$50 per annum


Awarded to persons who are

  • Graduates of institutions of higher learning, or

  • Holders of other professional non-insurance qualifications approved by the Council, and

  • Who have been engaged in the insurance industry for not less than two years.

Student

$20 per annum


Any tertiary student or person who is pursuing examinations approved by the Institute (which the Council deems suitable) may be admitted by the Council as a Student Member.

Student members must upgrade their membership to the relevant categories upon graduation, otherwise membership will be terminated.

Members-In-Retirement

$10 per annum


Fellows, Associates and Ordinary Members who are no longer in active employment shall be Members-in-Retirement.

Honorary Fellows who are no longer in active employment shall retain their status.

Honorary Fellow – FSII (Hon)


Conferred to persons who are professionally qualified who have, in the opinion of the Council, distinguished himself in or made significant contributions to the insurance industry or the Institute.
